The Disease of Perfection

Please read this post. My cousin Tracy linked the blog post by Dan Pearce to Facebook where I first read it. I needed that so much. Thank you, Dan.

I am far from perfect, but, I, too, am deeply inflicted by this disease. I keep myself up at night with it. I starved myself a few times from it. I berate myself for every little failure and hold myself hostage in the mirror. All with a smile, of course. I’m not brave enough to post here my imperfections. Not yet. But soon, I hope.

A few days after Dan posted that beautiful essay, he also wrote a follow up:  The Cure.
