All Better.

I don’t know what I was complaining about yesterday with the counted cross-stitch. I ripped it out, started over, and didn’t have a single problem. Maybe it was simply because I wasn’t in the groove quite yet. Either way, it was still pretty irritating to be bested by such a simple project. For contrast, here’s a project I started in high school that I pull out from time to time.

And a detail view:

Oh well. I’m on a roll now, at least!

Since moving down to Boston, this little black sheep has had more time than she cares to admit to craft and read. I’ve been enjoying it, don’t get me wrong, but I always dreamed of having all the time in the world to craft, of being paid to craft, of not having professional or academic obligations to put the project down for and now I can tell you first hand that it’s not as fun as it seemed. Actually, it kind of sucks.

One day at a time, right?

I’m off to a rock band gaming part this afternoon and then a goth club tonight. Reviews to come.
